Yes, you may be able to move your BT telephone number to our VoIP service so you don't need to change your number.

Do I need to keep my computer switched on to use VoIP?
No, if you use a VoIP adapter or handset then your computer can be left switched off.

Can I call someone who isn't using alpha base VoIP?
Yes, you can dial any telephone number in the world at a much reduced cost to traditional BT phone lines.

How many lines can I have?
You can have as many lines as you like, you get 2 lines with each VoIP number,

Are my telephone calls safe and secure?
Yes, your phone calls are as safe and secure as with your traditional phone line.

Can I use my fax machine over VoIP?
Yes, simply plug your fax machine into a VoIP adapter, however as fax is designed specifically to run over analogue lines, you might find it less reliable, it might be a good idea to use a fax-to-email service which will deliver faxes as attachments to emails.
